THE LANDS / ITALY
The land of our origins.
Italian vineyards, within the continuity of a House born in Florence.

Veil · light and foliage
Italy, among the vines.
Vine rows trace the slope. A shadow passes; light reveals the earth.
Terrae’s Italy is read in the land and in the continuity of the House, before it is told on a label.

Perspectives on the 19th century
Two views of Italy.
From the Arno to the Bay of Naples, two plans from 1835 reveal two views of Italy.
Period and sources
The editorial treatment draws on Victorian-era editions (1837–1901). The Italian plans of 1835 predate that period. These facsimiles are not records of Terrae land ownership.

One territory, different readings.
Italy cannot be reduced to a single vineyard landscape. For Terrae, it is both a family connection and part of our viticultural activity. The characteristics of our holdings are presented to relevant contacts within the framework of each discussion.
Before the final signature.
We do not present a range of Italian wines bearing the Caravelli name. Our role lies upstream, in supplying wine houses. This allows each partner to continue its own work and retain its own signature.
Discussing a precise origin.
An initial professional conversation establishes the territory concerned, the nature of the requirement and the information needed to assess it. Plot data are not replaced by atmospheric storytelling.
